The Evil Within 2 is a direct sequel to the first series, where you still play a detective named Sebastian Castellanos who is trying to save Lily Castellanos, his biological daughter, who is trapped in another world called Union. It was in this world that Sebastian had to return to face the nightmare of the strangeness of another world, where a series of monstrous monsters would be ready to kill him anytime. Characters from previous series such as Kidman, also re-appear in this game to give Sebastian information in helping him save Lily.
